A new leader for St Philip’s Hospital

 

Introduction

 

The new Executive Director of St Philip’s Hospital, Professor Anna Chiang, also known as Mrs. Goode, was educated

-         at HKU

-         getting her MD in 1980.

-         After that she did her doctorate/PhD in Medical Biophysics

-         In Toronto,

-         and a master’s degree in Health Administration

-         at Minnesota University.

 

Previous Work

-         Professor Chiang first worked as Assistant Professor of Medicine CUHK,

-         then became the Director of Cardiovascular Research,

-         at the UCLA Division of Cardiology

-         and was the Director of St Barbara’s Hospital,

-         Singapore

-         before she tool up the present post in St. Philip’s Hospital.

-         She was awarded the Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award

-         by the UK Heart Association,

-         a Fellowship

-         in Cardiac Microsurgery

-         by the University of Brussels

-         and an Honorary Doctorate

-         by the HKUST.

-         Professor Chiang married famous businessman

-         Mr Gregory Goode,

-         in 1989

-         and has two daughters.
